Taco Bell Secret Menu: Hacks You Can Still Order (2026)
Taco Bell has no official secret menu. The ones you see online are customer hacks, made by changing or combining items that are on the regular menu. Staff are not trained on them, so you order the parts, not the nickname.
Every hack below uses items on the 2026 menu. We checked them against our Taco Bell menu with prices. Prices vary by city, so treat the costs as a guide.
How Taco Bell Hacks Work
Taco Bell lets you remove or swap ingredients, and the app is built for that. You can take out sauces, add potatoes or guacamole, and order items fresco style. A hack is simply a few of these changes in one order. If you use the app, the add-on prices show before you pay.
Hacks You Can Order in 2026
| Hack | How to order | Approx. cost |
|---|---|---|
| Superman Burrito | Order a Cheesy Double Beef Burrito and ask to add seasoned potatoes and guacamole. | Burrito is $2.99. Add-on prices vary, so no total. |
| Incredible Hulk Burrito | Order a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito and ask for guacamole in place of nacho cheese sauce. | Burrito is $5.29. Guacamole charge varies. |
| Double-grilled quesadilla | Order a Cheese Quesadilla and ask the employee to grill it twice. This is a counter or drive-thru ask. | $5.59, the same as the regular quesadilla |
| Double Mexican Pizza | Order two Mexican Pizzas and stack one on the other. | About $11.98 (2 x $5.99) |
| Quesarito-style burrito | The Quesarito is gone. Order a Grilled Cheese Burrito for a similar cheese-wrapped burrito. | $6.39 |
| Homemade 7-layer style burrito | Order a Cheesy Bean & Rice Burrito, fresco style, then ask to add lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole and sour cream. | Burrito is $1.99. Add-ons vary. |
Costs use typical prices from our menu page. When an add-on price is not listed, we skip the total because we cannot work it out. Ask at the store or check the app.
Hacks That Are No Longer Possible
Some famous hacks rely on items that Taco Bell has removed. We do not list them as orders you can make:
- The Quesarito. It was once on the menu and is not now. The Grilled Cheese Burrito above is the closest match.
- The Enchirito. It was removed from the national menu. Stores may not stock red enchilada sauce, so a homemade version is not reliable.
- The Chili Cheese Burrito. It needs chili, which most stores do not carry.
- The original 7-Layer Burrito. It was dropped from the menu, but you can copy it as shown in the table.
Tips for Ordering
- Describe the build. Say “a Beefy 5-Layer with guacamole instead of nacho cheese” and not “Hulk.”
- Use the app. Most hacks can be made there, but the double grill needs a person.
- Avoid the lunch rush. Custom orders take longer.
- Expect add-on charges. Guacamole and potatoes cost extra.
- Check store stock. Some ingredients differ by location.
The Best Hack for the Money
The double-grilled quesadilla costs nothing extra, so it is the easiest win. For a big meal, the Superman Burrito starts from a $2.99 base, which is cheap for a loaded burrito. For a group, the Double Mexican Pizza works as a shared dish at about $12.
Cheap Builds Under $3
Several starting points cost under $3, which keeps hacks cheap. The Cheesy Bean & Rice Burrito is $1.99, the Cheesy Double Beef Burrito is $2.99 and the Cheesy Roll-Up is $1.49. Add one or two extras and you still stay below a Crunchwrap Supreme at $6.59. Removing ingredients is free, so a fresco style order can also lower calories without raising the price.
Using the App
Taco Bell Rewards members can build each hack in the app and see the add-on price before paying. You can also add notes for the kitchen. Remember that a request such as double grilling needs a person, so say it at the window or the counter.
A Note on Availability
Taco Bell restaurants are mostly franchised, and stock can differ. Guacamole, seasoned potatoes and sour cream are common, but a store can run out. If an add-on is missing, ask for a swap instead, such as extra cheese. Be kind to the crew during busy hours, since custom builds slow the line.
